A fire involving a flat roof on a property in Tait Street in Carlisle involved a propane gas cylinder, say firefighters.
Crews from the city were called out at 5pm yesterday.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service said: "On arrival, it was discovered that the fire was involving the exterior of a flat roof of a property, with a propane cylinder involved.
"Crews extinguished the fire using two hose reels, a triple extension ladder and small tools."
