AN England football legend will tell all about his career and life in Whitehaven next month.
An Evening with Paul Gascoigne will take place at Whitehaven Golf Club on October 25 where the former international is set to talk about his memories of the beautiful game.
That could include memorable moments like his tears at the 1990 World Cup, when a yellow card in the semi-final meant he would have missed the final had England reached it, and his iconic goal against Scotland at Euro 1996.
Better known to many by his nickname, Gazza, the 52-year-old played for clubs including Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Lazio and Rangers during a glittering career in the sport.
He has also battled demons off the pitch, particularly alcoholism.
