A Workington woman has been banned from the roads for 17-months after pleading guilty to drink-driving.

Kelsie Leigh-ann Johnston, 25, of Charles Close was also fined £165 by Workington magistrates.

The court heard that on September 22, Johnston was driving a Honda Civic on Station Street, Cockermouth with 76 mcg of alcohol in 100 ml of breath

The legal limit is 35mcg.

Johnston was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.

Her ban could be reduced by 17 weeks if she successfully completes a drink-driver rehabilitation course.
