POSITIVE and motivational messages have been left around Hall Park by a mystery well-wisher.

Knitted hearts were found on trees and benches in the Workington park with sentiments of positivity such as: "Focus on the good"; "Pain is not forever" and "Anything is possible."

The decorations were found by Toni Lee from Workington while she was on a nature walk with her two sons, Theo, 6, and Noah, 3. Toni spoke to the mystery woman who was accompanied by group of friends for support.

She was told by the woman: "She hadn't had a very good year, she had a few spells where she was feeling a bit down."

Although the woman wanted her identity to remain a secret, she said that she was leaving the positive messages to be found by anyone in a similar situation.

"She wanted to leave those for people who were on a walk because they were feeling down."

The sentiments had an affect on Toni's sons, Theo and Noah were running around reading them out to their mum: "Theo said, that's a kind think to do."

Toni said in a post on Facebook: "I spoke to the person leaving them and they just wanted people that didn't feel good to feel a little better.

Her post has led to an outpouring of support for the mystery woman and her campaign to spread positivity, with Toni's post being shared 110 times with 18 comments and 192 reactions.
