Sarah Watson, 26, a care assistant, married Ricky Morley, 25, a kitchen assistant/chef on Saturday, August 31. The couple live in Whitehaven.

Bride’s parents: Michael Fearn, and the late Judith Watson, both of Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

Groom’s parents: Christine Morley from Chesterfield, Derbyshire but now lives in Whitehaven.

How they met: The couple met online.

Proposal: On the stage at Ricky’s mum’s 40th birthday party on March 27, 2015.

Venues: The ceremony was held at the Solway Hall, in Whitehaven, followed by a reception at Mirehouse Labour Club.

Bride’s outfit: A sweetheart neckline, corset back, ballgown with tulle underlining and beaded details on the front. Shoes were silver heeled sandals from Debenhams.

Hair and beauty: Hair was styled by Vanity hair salon in Whitehaven, with make-up from CONNAAAS Brow and Make-up Studio, Whitehaven.

Groomsmen: The best woman was Donna Hilbourne and the pageboys were the couple’s son Bailey Morley and his cousin Tommy Dawson.

Groom and groomsmen’s outfits: A navy blue suit from Burtons, Whitehaven, with a white shirt, silver tie and brown shoes. The pageboys wore grey shorts, shirt and royal blue bow tie and braces

Bridesmaids: The bride’s cousin Hayley Overton and her daughter Alicia, bride’s friend Philippa Williams and the groom’s cousins Minnie and Maizie Fernandez-Richards.

Bridesmaids’ outfits: Hayley and Philippa wore royal blue dresses with beaded details on the top and a ribbon belt and the three younger bridesmaids wore silver flower girl dresses.

Transport: A family friend Toni drove the bride and her father to the ceremony.

Reception: Mirehouse Labour Club.

Cake: A non-traditional cake, half-wedding and half with PlayStation on for the gaming-mad groom. It was made by Susan Archer of Cleator Moor, with a game related topper from Amazon.

Favours: The bride made little mason jars with tags saying either he/she’s my one in a million, with pink and blue millions in the jars, also from eBay.

First Dances: Their first dance was The Script – The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.

Entertainment: Karaoke and disco from Megan Smith, of Mirehouse.

Honeymoon: A familymoon in Fuerteventura with their son.

Extras: The bride made all the centrepieces and also a sweet table. The couple also had a wedding ladder with images of all of their passed loved ones. All the decorations were from eBay. The bride added that they did their dream wedding on a budget, by making a lot herself.
