A WOMAN was grabbed by the arm as she waited for a taxi in Carlisle.
The woman was waiting in a queue at the taxi rank in Court Square - which is opposite the train station - when she was grabbed by the arm.
Police believe the man, who is described as 5ft 6ins tall with short brown hair and a short brown beard, attempted to pull her from the line.
Wearing a long sleeve khaki button-up shirt and black skinny jeans, the man left the area and the woman got into a taxi.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which is believed to have taken place between 12.45am and 2.30am on Sunday (OCT 27).
Police are keen to hear from the taxi driver who took the woman to an address in Denton Holme, who may have spoken about the incident.
Anyone with dashcam footage in the area at the time, is asked to come forward. Call 101.
