A DRIVER is in a critical condition in hospital after a serious crash near Annan.
It involved a silver Ford Fiesta, which was travelling on the B724, west of Clarencefield yesterday (October 29).
Police were called shortly after 4.40pm to the road, which is west of Annan.
The driver of the car was subsequently taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow to be treated for serious injuries and remains in a critical condition.
Sergeant Jonathan Edgar, of Dumfries and Galloway's Road Policing Unit, said: "Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing and at an early stage.
"I would urge anyone who may have arrived at the scene of the crash but has not yet spoken to police to come forward.”
