Staff and partners at Cumbrian firm Lamont Pridmore are celebrating after being named in the UK’s list of top 100 accountants.

With eight offices across Cumbria, Lamont Pridmore is the only independent firms of its kind based exclusively in the region to make the Top 50 + 50 list, prepared by professional publication Accountancy Age.

The list recognises the UK’s fastest-growing accountancy firms and has previously included Lamont Pridmore in previous years and has done so once again.

Graham Lamont, chief executive, said: “To be included in this year’s 50 + 50 list is a real honour and reflection of our strong growth in recent years.

"This was a team effort and would not have been possible without the hard work of our staff, who have committed themselves to deliver the highest levels of service to our clients.”

Lamont Pridmore has been advising businesses in Cumbria for more than 100 years and continues to gain recognition with a string of national award wins, alongside this latest listing.

Chris Lamont, partner at Lamont Pridmore, added: “We continue to invest in new services, staff training and other resources to ensure we stay ahead of the curve.

"It is only by being innovative that we continue to remain one of the leading practices in Cumbria.”

Karl Burrell, managing director at Lamont Pridmore’s Kendal office, said: “We are immensely proud of what we have achieved, but these honours and accreditations are only possible thanks to the forward-thinking approach we take and continual reinvestment into our practice and the team, which ensure we remain prominent in the region.”

Stuart Edger, managing director at Lamont Pridmore’s West Cumbria offices, added: “Over the last few years we have poured a lot of time and resources into building one of the region’s most prominent accountancy practices.

"Our innovative approach to accounting and our expansion into new areas makes sure we are competitive and agile.”
