I NOTICED with interest the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has a working group on the Future of Farming and Land Management as well as a head of conservation and community (Gazette, October 17, 'Park farming fears raised').
Perhaps if the Lake District National Park Authority would approach matters from the same perspective, the proposal to lay tarmac in a way deemed inappropriate by many could have been considered rather more carefully (Gazette, October 17, 'Park's bosses under attack').
