Cockermouth U3A gifted Kirkgate Arts Centre with a wall hanging
Cockermouth U3A have gifted Kirkgate Arts Centre with a quilting and patchwork wall hanging.
It was presented to the centre on October 23 and depicts life in and around Cockermouth.
The wall hanging was an entry in the great northern quilt show at Harrogate.
Carole Local, leader of the quilting and patchwork group, said: "All members had some input into the quilt, each member did a six inch square."
The 23 group members took several months to complete the quilt, which was started in Easter and completed in September.
They meet every Friday at St Joseph's Church, Cockermouth, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
