PREPARATIONS are underway for the 2019 Ulverston Dickensian Christmas Festival.
The event set to take place in less than two week, will see hundreds of Ulverstonians dress to impress on Saturday and Sunday November 23 and 24.
The historic market town will put on a variety of free events, competitions and market stalls and will culminate in the switch on of the Christmas lights.
The festival falls on the same weekend as the Ulverston Christmas lights switch-on event.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a Victorian Helter Skelter ride and the sounds of brass bands alongside the aromas of roast chestnuts.
There will also be a number of charitable stalls, including Cumbria County Council will have a stand offering information and advice on fostering.
