Money will be available as CCL Secure, launch a new charitable fund to benefit people and communities in Allerdale and Copeland.
Managed by Cumbria Community Foundation, the fund will provide grants to small voluntary and community groups helping people facing disadvantage across West Cumbria.
Jenny Benson, philanthropy officer, said: “We know that small local charities and voluntary organisations are the glue that holds communities together and Cumbria is unique in that is has a higher than average number of people who donate their time. We also know that local services are under pressure and struggling to meet local needs.”
