CONSERVATIVE candidate for Copeland, Trudy Harrison, has met with businesses and residents in Keswick ahead of the General Election.
Mrs Harrison stopped off at Keswick based vegan cafe, Kat’s Kitchen.
The cafe took part in this year’s Cumbrian Day in Parliament, an annual event hosted by the area’s MPs which brings together the very best of the county’s food and drink industry.
Mrs Harrison said: “Out and about campaigning in Keswick, speaking with residents and meeting with businesses this week has been really positive - but I’m under no illusion that there is still much to do, especially in mending our broken democracy.
“Messages on the doorsteps continue to be dominated by Brexit and people know that I am the only Copeland candidate promising to respect the referendum result.”
The prospective candidate was also out and about in Mirehouse.
The other Copeland candidates standing are: Tony Lywood, Labour; John Studholme, Liberal Democrats; and Jack Lenox, Green Party.
