WORKINGTON is gearing up for its Christmas festival on Saturday.
Workington Town Council is holding the event from 11am in the town centre which will culminate with the light switch-on at 5pm.
Entertainment will include live music from acts including Cindy Hoten, Maryport Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society and Cockermouth Ukuele Band. There will also be walkabout entertainers, face painting, a fun fair and storytelling and a market with seasonal gifts and treats.
