A 70-YEAR-OLD pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a late-night crash in Workington.
The incident happened at about 9pm last night (Tuesday) at the roundabout by the junction of Solway Road and Bessemer Way in the town.
Police say the crash involved a car and a pedestrian.
An investigation into what happened is underway.
A spokesman from Cumbria Police told the News & Star: "The pedestrian, a 70-year-old man from Workington, was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle with serious leg injuries.
"The car involved was a BMW one series driven by a 27-year-old man from Workington."
