A group of men attempted to steal a mobility scooter and assaulted the owner.
Police are investigating the incident w3hich happened around 11pm on Tuesday in Maryport.
It is reported that three man attempted to steal a mobility scooter attached to a lamp post on High Street.
When challenged by the owner the men verbally abused her and followed her to Pearl Garden on Wood Street, Maryport.
The men continued to be abusive to her and grabbed hold of her attempting to forcefully remove her from the takeaway.
The men also made offensive gestures to the victim.
