Police make an arrest
A man has been arrested in connection with a firearms incident.
Police launched a manhunt after a gun was used in a property in Bootle last night.
A spokesman for Cumbria police said: "We can confirm that a 48-year-old man has been arrested this afternoon in the south Lakes area in connection with a firearms incident in Bootle last night and is now in custody.
"Cumbria Constabulary would like to thank those who shared the appeals issued today."
