A bid support and project management company has moved into new offices as it expands.

Prosure Engineering has taken up residence at Lakeland Business Park in Cockermouth, which is also home to the likes of WYG, NFU Mutual and Saints & Co.

Prosure Engineering provides tender and project management support throughout the UK to construction clients in various sectors including rail, highways and nuclear, and has helped its clients secure over £2bn of contracts.

It also provides ‘lean construction’ support to help its clients streamline processes and workflows to maximise productivity and efficiency.

Prosure Engineering’s sister company, the tech startup Shareplant, has also relocated to the new office to maximise collaboration between the two.

Launched this year Shareplant is an online construction equipment sharing and rental marketplace and construction management software suite for site managers and equipment owners.

Shareplant brings the sharing economy, a familiar phenomenon enshrined in services like Uber or Airbnb, to construction plant and tool hire while helping to modernise the management and administration of construction projects by using paperless, cloud-based construction software.

It allows owners to list items for hire for free in a database which renters can search either on its website or via an app.

They include everything from road sweepers to forklifts and cement mixers to power tools.

The pieces of equipment for hire on Shareplant, cover locations including Birmingham, London, Newcastle, Manchester and Cumbria.

At the same time Shareplant has launched Shareplant Toolbox, a range of software tools to help construction companies manage multiple aspects of their construction business via their computer, tablet and smartphone.

Mark Watters, managing director of Prosure Engineering and Shareplant, said: “These new offices are a great milestone for both Prosure and Shareplant, as we help our customers win more work and utilise their assets more efficiently.”
