A Maryport man has been banned from the roads after he was found guilty of being drunk while in charge of a vehicle.
Shaun William Milburn, 33, of Collins Terrace denied the offence but was found guilty by magistrates at the Workington court.
The court heard that on August 9, Milburn was in charge of a Vauxhall Astra and was sat in the drivers seat while over the drink-driving limit.
He was found to have 62mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg.
The incident happened on Harcourt Street in Workington.
Milburn was banned from driving for 12 months and he was also handed a £120 fine.
He must pay £620 prosecution costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
