A West Cumbrian fell road was closed following a collision this afternoon.
Cumbria Police confirmed Cold Fell Road, near Ennerdale Bridge, was closed from approximately 12pm until 2pm today (January 10) following a collision between a pedestrian and a cyclist.
The cyclist, a man in his 70s, suffered head and shoulder injuries, as confirmed by the North West Ambulance Service.
The injured man was taken to West Cumberland Hospital by road ambulance.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 11.56am to reports of a collision between a cyclist and pedestrian, with one patient.
"Police, air ambulance and road ambulance attended, and the patient was taken to hospital."
