A 22-year-old man has been fined £280 and banned from the roads after being caught drink-driving.
Karl Liam Fowler, of Trinity Drive, Northside, Workington, pleaded guilty to the charge at West Cumbria Magistrates Court on Friday.
Magistrates heard Fowler was driving a Suzuki VRM on the A596 at Workington, on December 15 last year, when the incident happened.
He was found to have 63mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
He has been banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
If he successfully completes a drink-driver rehabilitation course he could see his ban reduced by 18 weeks.
