A pedestrian has died after a crash on a village road in north Cumbria.
A man in his 60s was declared dead at the scene after a crash east of Lanercost Primary School.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called shortly after 5.30pm yesterday and subsequently closed a stretch of the road.
The crash involved a Citroen Picasso driven by a woman in her 50s and a pedestrian.
Officers are investigating and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or the moments leading up to it to contact police referencing incident 180 of January 20.
