Restaurants are being urged to get involved in an NSPCC appeal that has a bit of a twist.
The children’s charity is encouraging people to add £1 to their restaurant bill which will then be donated to the NSPCC.
It’s a way to support the charity as part of a daily or weekly routine.
Sandra Jones, a community fundraising manager, said: “Dine and Donate is an exciting chance for restaurants in Cumbria to get involved in our fundraising and help us support vulnerable young people.
“It also provides the opportunity to get inventive.
“You could host a Valentine’s dinner, a Chinese New Year buffet, or even an Easter Bunny Lunch and all while helping prevent cruelty to children.”
The money that is donated through the dine and donate appeal will go towards Childline counselling sessions and therapeutic services.
Restaurants are encouraged to get in contact.
