A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car.
Police are currently dealing with a crash at Thorny Lane in Thornhill, which is causing congestion to the Egremont bypass.
Delays are also being reported through Egremont and on the B5345.
Cumbria Police was called to the scene at about 6am this morning (January 22).
The motorcyclist has been taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle to be checked over, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
There are not believed to be any other injuries.
Recovery vehicles are currently on scene and the road is expected to reopen shortly.
A spokesman for the force said earlier: "Cumbria Police are dealing with an RTC on the A595 at Thornhill, road is currently blocked while we deal with the scene and occupants.
"Drivers to be aware and use alternative routes when travelling this morning."
