Motorists face eight weeks of traffic chaos as roadworks begin on a major town estate.
The works in Salterbeck, Workington began on Monday morning, and they span from Shore Terrace to Holden Road.
Delays are expected as multi-way traffic lights are in place until the work has been completed.
The work is being carried out by Northern Gas Networks, and the company said they were due to be completed by March 20.
