Police were called to a fight outside a Maryport supermarket.
Officers were called to the incident outside Lidl at around 1.20pm yesterday.
A police spokesman said: "It was reported that two women and two men were involved in the fight outside the store."
No arrests have been made at this stage.
Anyone with information or anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call police on 101.
