A teen has been fined for being drunk in charge of a vehicle.
Joshua Trafford, of Bassenthwaite, pleaded not guilty to the offence last month, but was found guilty at North and West Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The 18-year-old was caught in a Land Rover with 42mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.
The incident happened on December 11 on the A66 at Crosthwaite roundabout, Keswick.
He received 10 points on his licence and was fined £276, being instructed to also pay a victim surcharge of £21 and costs of £620.
