INSPIRATIONAL dog owner Kerry Irving is set to sign his new book about how Spaniel Max saved his life at Crufts 2020.

Social media-famous springer spaniels Max, Paddy and Harry are set to visit the PDSA stand at Crufts 2020 to meet their fans.

And owner Kerry Irving, from Keswick, will be signing copies of his new book Max the Miracle Dog, which tells his inspirational story of recovering from a serious accident – and how his springer, Max helped him to heal.

The book is set to release worldwide on March 5, and Kerry will celebrate the launch by meeting with fans and signing their books at the dog-flooded event.

The public can visit the proud owner and his pooches at the PDSA’s Crufts stand on Thursday, March 5 from 11.30am to 12.45pm, and 3.30pm to 4.45pm.

Kerry credits the two dogs with helping him out of a severe depression following a car accident that left him in chronic pain.

Max and Paddy became social media stars and, joined by new addition Harry, Kerry now takes them on regular charity walks across Cumbria.

The team have so far raised £124,000 to support others struggling with depression as well as a £76,500 for animal charities.

Max and Paddy are supporters of PDSA, an organisation that gives free veterinary services to owners who need it.

A spokesperson for the PDSA said: “Kerry is a big supporter of the PDSA, he is a superstar.

“We are really delighted that Max’s story is going to be told to many more people, they are an amazing team.”

Max and Paddy received a commendation from the PDSA in 2018 for bringing comfort and support to those in need.

And the widely-loved springers have even received the royal seal of approval, attending a royal garden party in 2019.

They met up with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge again in June 2019 when the royal couple visited Keswick, and enjoyed a tickle or two from the dog-mad Duchess herself.

The charity are offering a chance to win a pet hamper with tickets to Crufts 2020 as well as a copy of Max the Miracle Dog. To enter, visit the PDSA website at: https://www.pdsa.org.uk/.
