Businesses were left without water after a burst pipe.
The issue, covering the CA11 postcode, was first reported at 8.47am today and has seen businesses in the area of Gillwilly Industrial Estate in Penrith left without water for much of the day.
United Utilities say it has received nine calls about the problem, with the problem fixed at 4.30pm.
A spokeswoman said supply should soon be restored to all affected properties.
The problem was caused by a burst water pipe on Bowerbank Way.
