A ROAD will be closed for approximately three weeks while work is carried out on the carriageway.
The 1.3km stretch from Dalzell Street in Moor Row towards Keekle will close from Monday, March 9.
A Highways spokesman said: "A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of Dalzell Street, Cleator Moor Road, Main Street, Egremont Road and the A595."
