A lucky fan of Tyson Fury has met the WBC world heavyweight champion during a trip to Morecambe.

Logan Murphy and his dad Lee, who owns the Regal Super Bikes firm in Seaton were dropping off a motorbike in Morecambe on Thursday March 19 when they ran into the boxing superstar.

Logan and his dad found Tyson’s house and Logan simply wanted a photograph outside the gates but Lee said: “He came trotting out of the house for his daily run.

“It was one of them surreal moments. Tyson Fury is his favourite boxer by far.”

Fury, who lives in Morecambe, captured the WBC world heavyweight title in a career best performance last month, knocking-out then champion Deontay Wilder.

He has become an inspiration to many for returning to world champion status after a battle with crippling depression.

The pair pulled up beside Tyson hoping for a photo with the heavyweight champion but Tyson said: “I’ll do you one better than that.”

Logan was delighted when Fury invited him along on his morning run.

Lee said: “I said to Logan, things like this just don’t happen.

“He is just one of them fellas that has got time for everybody.”

Logan is a singer and guitarist going by the name “The Beatles Boy.”

Logan’s covers of the iconic band’s tracks have taken him far and wide. Before the event was postponed due to the Coronavirus he was due to perform at a Beatles themed festival in Florida. However, he is still looking at how he can bring smiles to his fans’ faces.

Lee said: “What he’s wanting to do now is online live concerts on his Facebook page.

“With the music Logan plays he does get a lot of older generation fans.”

Logan hopes to entertain people in isolation with music.
