NETFLIX has gone down for many subscribers as people in Cornoavirus lockdown try to tune into the service
The problem has affected people across UK, Europe and the US with thousands taking to social media.
It is understood the issues affect both the website and the app.
Problems have come at a time when internet providers say that demand is going off the scale, as people are forced to stay at home because of the contagion.
Virgin Media has said overall internet use during daytime hours on its network has roughly doubled as the UK locked down during the Coronavirus outbreak, as peope try to self-isolate.
It said that broadband traffic was up 90 per cent on Monday, the first day of school closures - compared with the fortnight before.
The Down Detector website has shown there to be outages in Europe and the UK.
However the company has yet to say anything on its status page.
But it has admitted that due to the Coronavirus outbreak, it could be slower to respond than normal.
