TWO fire crews have been scrambled to a Wigton school.
Fire engines were called out to The Nelson Thomlinson School, on High Street.
And it is understood that they are still at the scene.
A witness, who did not want to be named, said: "I was out for my hour of exercise when I saw the two engines.
"There is a real stink of smoke in the air but I can't see any fire at the moment so I don't know how serious it is."
Cumbria Fire and Rescue has not yet put out details of the incident.
We'll provide more details as they emerge.
