Cumbria united in support of the NHS and all who are caring for others during the coronavirus pandemic.
Adults and children lined their streets or hung out of windows to applaud those frontline staff.
Those who were unable honked their horns - with Carlisle firefighters even sounding the siren and flashing the lights on one of their appliances.
Small villages blared You'll Never Walk Alone and banged pan lids to ensure they could be heard by their remote neighbours.
