Broughton Primary School is the location for a new defibrillator for the village.

This makes three life saving devices in Great and Little Broughton that can help save the life of someone experiencing a sudden cardiac arrest.

Other defibrillators can be found at the Welfare Hall, Little Broughton and outside the Punch Bowl Inn in Main Street, Great Broughton.

To access the defibrillators, in case of an emergency, residents should call 999 and the ambulance service will provide the caller with the push button pad number.

The machines are easy to use, with clear step-by-step instructions so that anyone can use them, from a bystander to a trained professional. The device restores a normal heartbeat by sending an electric impluse, or shock, to the heart.
