With holiday plans up in the air, one travel agent is doing its best for customers.

Cumbria Travel has promised to be there for its customers, keeping them up-to-date on the latest travel guidance and helping to re-arrange breaks where necessary.

A spokesman for Cumbria Travel said: “We would like to confirm that as per the government announcements, the shop is indeed closed with a reduced team working hard from home to help and ensure all our clients affected are looked after and receive the best possible customer service, in the same way, Cumbria Travel always does.”

“We ask that if your holiday has not yet been affected with the current FCO Travel Ban that you do not contact us, this will allow us to get to our clients who have been affected as quickly and efficiently as possible, we will strictly be focusing on clients on date of departure order.”

“This week and for the foreseeable we will be working from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday in an attempt to clear anything outstanding and start to post some future holiday deals and offers in the hope it gives you & ourselves something exciting to look forward to when this horrible experience leaves us.”

“Let’s look to the future. We hope that all our clients past and present continue to trust and believe in us so we can get back to doing what we do best when we are allowed.”

The team is contacting customers to offer support and options for their holidays, and have reassured all that they will be in touch if they need to be.

They added a word of hope, saying: "we will get through this, but we need you to continue supporting us."
