Holding a raffle to support the NHS – because what better way is there to support our heroes from home?

Caring couple Laura Armfield and Kevin Fox are doing their bit for those on the frontline, holding a raffle to support those saving lives.

While isolating at home, Kevin, owner of Whitehaven’s KF Removal and Courier Service, and partner Laura came up with the idea, as “every little helps!”.

Laura said: “Sitting in listening to the news, and realising how much work and effort the NHS are putting into saving lives, there isn’t much I can do sat at home for them so I came up with the raffle tickets idea.

“People should get involved for the simple fact, it could be them, their relatives, friends etc who catch the virus, and it will be our NHS that helps them.”

She added: “They are our heroes – they deserve as much credit and help as possible.”

The pair are selling tickets for £3, with every penny going to the NHS.

All prizes will be paid for by KF Removal, and include; alcohol of the winner’s choice (up to £50), a £50 voucher of their choice, or £50 cash.

But it’s not just for adults, as children’s prizes are also available; a BMX (for ages three to eight), £50 game voucher, or £50 voucher to the Entertainer Toy Shop.

Laura added: “The reaction so far has been fantastic, since posting it on March 30 we have sold a large amount of tickets – I think we are on approximately £200 already!”

To pay via bank transfer, include your full name and “Raffle for NHS”, to the bank account of Laura Armfield (sort code 110839, account number 10886968).

Tickets can also be bought through PayPal, to kevinthefox@live.com and also leave your full name and Raffle for NHS, and a picture of your ticket will be sent to you.

The raffle will run until Monday, April 13, with winners announced on April 14 in a live Facebook video.
