Police officers in Carlisle have raised their concern about there being "far more people out of the house than there really should be given the circumstances".
A PCSO who covers the west of the city has been interacting with members of the public in places like Chances Park, Cummersdale, Dalston and Burgh Marshes to emphasise the severity of this national emergency.
A spokesman for Carlisle Police said: "There is a noticeable reduction in cars being used but far more people out of the house than there really should be given the circumstances.
"Those not from the area have been urged to think about the current situation and whether or not they can honestly say they did their bit to help when their country needed them most."
