A further 10 people have died of coronavirus at Cumbria's two NHS hospital trusts.

The total number of people to have died at hospitals run by the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust - which runs the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle and the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven is 50 - an increase of six fatalities from the previous day.

For the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust - which operates the Furness General Hospital in Barrow, the Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal and Millom Hospital - the total dead has risen to 75 - an increase of four on the total the day before.

A further 828 people who tested positive for the coronavirus have died in England, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 6,483.

Patients were aged between 22 and 103 years old. 46 of the 828 patients (aged between 35 and 96 years old) had no known underlying health condition.
