A TODDLER had lots of fun helping shave her dad’s head to raise funds for a village group.
Ben Davies-McChesney, of Greysouthen, near Cockermouth, wanted to kill two birds with one stone: have a lockdown home haircut and raise vital funds.
He did just that - and raised £454 for a Greysouthen group which is co-ordinating action to support residents during the coronavirus.
In order to raise as much money as he could, Ben recruited his daughter, 18-month old Leonora, to do the honours, ably assisted by mum Cat.
The pair of them clipped Ben’s hair in the garden of their Greysouthen home.
When Ben launched his appeal, Cat said: “Anyone who has met Ben will know he has hair like a burst mattress at the best of times, we dread to think what he would look like after several more weeks without access to a barber.”
Anyone wishing to sponsor Leonora can do so at greysouthen.online/leonora.
