Emma and Shaun Robb, of Workington, had a Halloween themed wedding when they tied the knot in October.

Emma, 28, a document controller, and Shaun had been friends since meeting at Stainburn School, but it wasn't until they bumped into each other again in 2006 that they fell in love.

Shaun, 29, an NHS ambulance mechanic, proposed in Nashville, Tennessee on April 23, 2018.

Emma said: "It was our last night there and we were walking home from a charity music event and Shaun caught me completely off guard outside of the country music hall of fame. "

Shaun had a stag party in Benidorm, while Emma went to Dublin for her hen do ahead of their special day on October 26 of last year.

The couple married at Knipe Hall with around 50 guests and had an autumn-Halloween theme.

"We had Halloween masks, pumpkins, a coffin and skeleton for the reception drinks.

"We had a Halloween-style cake with an axe and Chucky and the bride of Chucky sat on top by The Cake Dragon," said Emma.

The bride's dress was from Te Amo, Workington, by Christine Dando, while the groom's suit was from Marc Darcy.

Shaun's best men were friends Lucas McLuckie and Ian Wilson.

Emma had two men of honour, best friends Kristoffer Finch and Wayne Jackson, while bridesmaid was Shaun's sister Shelley Williams. Page boy was the couple's three-year-old nephew Harley Searby.

Emma's wedding ring is from Michael King, Wigton, and is wishbone style, while Shaun's is from Ernest Jones and is black and silver.

The bouquets were made by Emma's dad David Dennison, while the buttonholes were by Floral Design in Workington.

The room decorations were by Emma's mother, Carol Dennison, and the family decorated the rooms themselves the night before the wedding.

Favours were shots in hand painted vials.

Emma and Shaun's first dance was to Chris Stapleton's Tennessee Whiskey, sang by Skyline, their band. Entertainment was also provided by DJ Motiv-8.

Capturing the day were photographer Mark Dilbo and videographers Fletcher Films.

The table decorations were by Wilde & Romantic; the hair was styled by The Hairloft, Penrith; the makeup was by The Beautyloft, Penrith and the Magic Mirror was by Memories Cumbria.

The couple were due to fly to the Dominican Republic for their honeymoon on April 16, however their trip was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Emma said: "Our favourite part of the day was the ceremony as we got to say I do surrounded by the people we love."
