A WOMAN who threatened to kill NHS workers by strangling them has been arrested by police.

The woman, in her 30s, from Consett, was detained at Stanley Bus Station by police on Thursday night.

She was taken to hospital, but became aggressive and made threats to medical staff.

She was arrested at 1.15am on Friday morning was taken into custody at Durham Police Station.

A spokesman for Durham Police said: “A female from Consett was arrested for making threats to kill where it was reported to police that she had become aggressive with staff in a hospital and threatened to kill them by strangling them.”
