POLICE were called into Durham city centre after an incident involving a man and a group of young boys on bikes.
The alarm was was raised just before 2pm on Saturday.
Further details of the nature of the incident have not yet been released by Durham Constabulary, but the force has confirmed an investigation is underway.
Officers are now appealing for information to help with the inquiry,
A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: “Police are appealing for information following an incident which occurred on Saturday at approximately 1.50pm in Durham City Market Place.
The incident involved male youth cyclists and a male pedestrian.
