A COUPLE who fell in love 19 years ago have finally said their vows in memory of their daughter.

Amy Williamson, 35, and Trevor Frith, 38, of Silloth, tied the knot in front of friends and family at the Greenhill Hotel, Wigton.

They tragically lost their eldest daughter Jodie-Anne and Trevor’s dad Andrew in a road accident last year.

Jodie had wanted to surprise her dad with a wedding to celebrate his 40th birthday so her parents decided to fulfil those dreams by getting married after all those years together.

It was all planned within three months and what made the day special was that the theme was based around Jodie’s favourite colour of green.

The wedding gave the whole family and the couple’s friends something to look forward to after everything they had been through over the past few months, particularly Amy and Trevor who felt it had made them stronger as a couple.

Although wishing Jodie was there to celebrate with them, they said they enjoyed their amazing day and they “wish they could do it all over again”.

The happy couple met in 2001 at Carlisle’s County Hotel where Amy worked as a waitress and Trevor was a chef.

They celebrated their day with their 30 guests with a small afternoon reception at the hotel near Wigton and were joined by 50 more for the evening reception.

Amy, who is front-of-house at the Golf Hotel in Silloth, stunned on their wedding day in a hand-made dress by her aunt Helen Fearon.

Her make-up was done by Beth Rumney, of Silloth, and hair was by Flo Robinson of Silloth.

She was given away by their 10-year-old son Ronnie and her bridesmaid was their 13-year-old daughter Erin, who also made the favours. Erin wore a green dress also made by Helen Fearon.

Trevor’s best man was his best friend Andrew Moore. He and Julie Laidlaw, the bride’s sister, were witnesses and signed the register.

Matthew Turnbull provided the entertainment and the couple chose You Needed Me by Boyzone as their first dance.

The bright orange and yellow flowers were by Elaine at Forrester Flowers and the cake was made by Amy’s cousin Amanda Fearon.

Gift and Stitch in Aspatria gifted the balloons which completed the tables.
