Sellafield has been given an award in recognition of achieving high standards in collaborative working.

The nuclear site received ISO44001 certification, which meant it had been recognised for its efforts in promoting effective collaborative working.

The presentation of this certification was due to take place last month, however the event at the House of Lords was cancelled due to Covid-19.

Instead, the event was held online, with virtual speakers and presentations on the vital role collaborative working plays across the public and private sectors.

Interim supply chain director Alan Hartley said: “Receiving this award really does signify a significant step for Sellafield Ltd in terms of how we are going to conduct our business.”
