An assault outside a Co-op has left two women with facial injuries.
Police are investigating the assault, which took place outside the shop on Central Avenue, Harraby.
The incident happened on Friday (June 26) at 6.45pm, and saw one 24-year-old Carlisle woman arrested on suspicion of two counts of assault which caused bodily harm.
She has since been released on bail.
Two women, also from Carlisle, were left with injuries on their faces, but did not go to hospital to be treated.
Officers are appealing for witnesses who were in the of Central Avenue or inside the store at the time of the assault.
