As hospitality venues prepare to open at the weekend, Carlisle city council are offering some helpful advice to licencees and others on how to keep themselves and customers safe.
The leader of the city council, councillor John Mallinson, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming more visitors back to Carlisle and we urge you to support local hospitality businesses – drink and eat local. But before you make the journey, check websites to see when businesses are opening and what Covid-19 safety measures they’ve put in place.
“There will still be restrictions in place designed to protect people from infection. Many premises will have a reduced capacity to allow for social distancing and it is expected that others will require the public to book in advance. It’s important that you plan ahead and keep safe.”
