The total number of deaths involving Covid-19 at hospitals in north Cumbria now stands at 159 after a further death was today confirmed - though no new deaths have occurred for two weeks.
The death occurred on June 18, but has only been officially announced today.
The most recent death to have taken place at the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, which runs hospitals in north Cumbria, occurred on June 23, exactly two weeks ago today.
The trust runs the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle, the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven, and a number of community hospitals across north Cumbria.
