A west Wiltshire primary school is one of the first to win a prestigious Centre of Excellence award for helping students learn how to communicate safely.

Children at Westwood with Iford Primary School have been using the safer, healthier and kinder digital community in GoBubble to stay connected and develop lifelong skills in collaborating and communicating.

Head teacher Ian Rockey said: “The award recognises the impact the school has made across the entire community.

“We have all loved to see the power of GoBubble to enable the children to share their voices and learn with and from each other.

“GoBubble has given our children added spark and their writing and verbal communication skills have been amazing.

“What’s lovely is that GoBubble cares about kindness - the children are rewarded for the likes they give, not the ones they get, so they’re learning how to be great citizens of the world at the same time.”

Children across all year groups have access to the free-to-join platform, which is in more than 40 countries and supports more than 14 different languages.

All content is checked before it appears as well, meaning it helps to reduce risks and is open to families, schools, and youth groups to join for free.
