A Workington man who is accused of attempting to maliciously wound another man has appeared in court.
Jordan Michael McDowell, 27, of Eskdale Crescent, appeared before magistrates at the Workington court on Tuesday.
He is accused of carrying a knife in a public place on Honister Drive on Sunday.
The folding pocket knife had a blade, the cutting edge of which exceeded three inches.
On the same day it is also alleged he caused £100 worth of damage to a Hyundai belonging to Dean Plenty
The next day he allegedly attempted to unlawfully and maliciously wound Mr Plenty with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.
McDowell was remanded in custody until his next court date.
His next hearing is due to take place at the crown court in Carlisle on August 5.
